Wayang performance at Salihara

Prominent puppeteer Ki Purbo Asmoro will perform Banjaran Karna (the life of Karna) at Salihara on Tuesday, August 11. The short-performance (around 3 hours) will begin at 8 p.m.
Banjaran Karna tells the life of Karna, the great warrior who died in the Mahabarata war.
Purbo Asmoro, one of few puppeteers who speaks English, has performed not only in Indonesia but also in many other countries. He teaches at the Indonesian Institute of Arts, where he got his professorship in puppetry.
