The Madison Review accepts submissions of poetry and fiction of all different styles and genres. Guidelines for submissions are as follows:

* Manuscripts must be typed, previously unpublished material.
* Please include a cover-letter complete with your contact information.
* Submissions must include a self addressed stamped envelope.

* All submissions should be sent to:

* The Madison Review prints two issues a year, with its black and white issue appearing in the fall and a color issue appearing in the spring. When submitting art to The Madison Review please follow the following guidelines:
o Mail sample images in JPEG format on a CD to the above address. Please note that these should be samples; if selected, high resolution images will be requested on a later date.
o Do not send original copies of your work as we will not return CD samples unless you request that we do so (see below).
o Please include a cover-letter complete with your contact information.
o Submissions must include a self addressed stamped envelope for our reply. We will not return your CD sample to you unless you specifically request such action and supply us with the proper postage and packaging for such action.

INTERIOR DESIGN Contest
Write a story or poem based on this painting:

Word Limit: 1,000 words. The entry can be a flash story, poem, or whatnot.

Entry fee: $6.00. Pay to Mad Hatters' Review by

Prize: The first place winner (in either poetry or prose) will receive $50 and publication in Issue Ten of Mad Hatters' Review. Second and third place awards, consisting of publication in Mad Hatters' Review, may be given at the discretion of the judges.

Proceeds from contest entrance fees will go towards the cost of designing and maintaining our website. We also hope to make enough money, someday, so we can pay contributors and produce an annual print magazine.

Deadline: February 15, 2008, wherever in the world you happen to be – this world, please.

Submission Requirements: Please copy and paste your submission into the body of the email, and send it to madhattersreview@gmail.com. In the Subject of email, include the word "CONTEST," your name, title of the gem you are submitting, and word count. In the Body of email, include your submission, your name, bio, email address, permission to publish email address for contact by readers.

Multiple Submissions: Are allowed. Please include $6.00 entry fee for each submission.
